Haha. Today had SJAB public duty over at the Bukit Timah Hill, the smallest hill you can find on earth! Haha. Anyways, we had to wake up like real early and it was like everyone of us didn't had much sleep. Before I went for this public duty, I was reluctant to go man. Firstly because they didn't give us much information about this event. They just said, wear Full U, meet at CCK control station at 7.15am. There would be an amublance there to fetch you. Damn. It's like we don't even who are we going to serve and whether there's any officer going with us. Ok apparently, there wasn't any officer who turned up. So we were all alone. Heng. There was really an ambulance. Haha. the Same ambulance driver who fetch us last time during Family Day. This time he fetched us till a christian church near the Bukit Timah Hill, The Salvation Camp. LOL. Then we were all very baffled. Seriously. You see that's the problem, we were not clear about the situation. Haha. Whatever it is, I was quite please with the environment. We entered this church then went to an air conditioned room. It was flooded with Raffles, Hwa Chong people man. Then Wei Ting and my eyes were like sparkling away. LOL. Kiddin' But seriously there are a few good man over there man. I mean it's like smart, handsome, fit, outgoing such hunks, so dreamy. Haha. I guess that idea of shuai ges got be going for the rest of my day! =D Haha. When Rachel and I reached our checkpoint 11, we were bored and warm. Then we were playing with some flowers on the ground and admiring the scenary. Instead of climbling the hills, we were stationed. Later, a lady called us to sit down with her on the ponchos. LOL. Later, 3 of the members wanted to climb to airpline or something like that down the small mountain. There were ropes attached from the peak down the bottom. Sighs. I really wanted to tried it out. I'm not really what you call "first aider" only. I'm an adventure person! Haha. But I guess I better work on the muscle first... Overall we ended the day in the evening but we could see the prize giving. *Sighs* I'm so disappointed. But at least we had a ride in the ambulance back to CCK. It was a great day for public duty! =)
Fact of the Day:
Confucius Edmund says:
Yuck. I hate those clingy girls who act cute by pufffing up their cheeks. Makes them look like they are swallowing their vomit.
What wise word he have for everyone out there. Are you eating your vomits today?
Had SJAB's annual Zone Inspection cum ANCO pass out ceremony yesterday. So it was held at Damai which was at Bedok. So far! So we were there and changed into half-U. We had a rehearsal first. Those ANCO cadets were the Guard of Honour for the day and da rest of us were supporting contegent. So ya we all formed up the first row along with GESS by our side, then Damai then Catholic High. As for the second row, right behind us was Maris Stella, Hai Sing and Holy Innocent. So we were made to stand there for like 30mins? I dunno. I wanted to puke even before the whole thing started. Damn. Bad omen. So I have to stand there and ta han loh. Wa seh. I think due to lack of training alot from our core sort of fainted. Sze Him was 'swaying" front and foe, Wei Ting squated down, pale face, Rachel vomit straight and Hannah fainted. All sec 2s and none of the sec 1s fainted. So end of the day Sir CS was happily suaning us... Then we had a short break and had to rush to change into our full-U. So you should have guess how much we can rest. So then we formed up like just now again. It was even longer man. Damn those speeches. So long. LOL. Just kidding la. Last time for the COC we were the Guard of Honour so grand. Not like now. So towards the end of the parade, I was already slouching. Hehe. Didn't ate enough for lunch. Then stomach kinda craving for food. Haizz. Overall not v fun day la but still got "rewards". Haha. Got "Bird nest" water for us to drink and some sandwiches! Haha. Ya so that was one day gone! =D
Hello. Lance CPL Christine here to report my pass 2 days (8,9 June 05)!
The 1st day I was late due to Music Tech and only reached Anderson JC (Choon Siong Sir's School) T 11.30PM? Hehe. Had alot of trouble getting there, I'm kinda a direction idiot. Anyways, when I reach there it was almost time for lunch. Hehe. CS brought us to the nearest hawker for lunch but I didn't buy anything to eat except for a can of soya bean drink. You must be thinking that I'm trying to lose weight but actually I've taken my lunch on the MRT. Hehe. I smuggled a cup of Honeydew Milktea (Sweetalk), and some prawn nuggets(Old Chang Kee). Then when we got back, we learnt how to pick the film, place the film on the reerling, how to develop the photos etc. We were also taught different types of ways to take photos. Nothing exciting actually but not bad la. I like it when we go into the dark room. Air con super cold!
The 2nd day, I was late again due to Music Tech. After Music tech I had to draw some Zone T-shirt for CS sir and a belt for Hong Lip. Alamak. No "L" Zone T so I took 1 'S', 1 'M' and 1' XL'. LOL. What's worst was that I took a faulty belt for Hong Lip! Ahhhh! Ok whatever. 12nn we had our lunch at NYP! Haha. Chen Yie Mdm took us there. =D I had some creamy pasta. So expensive, 3 over bucks! Then we headed back into the indoor shooting. It was boring actually. Real boring. I don't really like to take photos actually. Neither do I like to pose to have my picture taken. Anyways, Siew Ling, Sok Ting and myself headed for the Dark Room to get some photos printed. Hehe. I was freezing inside. Since I missed out the phototaking that part, I took someone elses negative. I'll post the photo out once I got the time...
End of photography course...
I'm back from the Sec 2 Camp! Woo Hoo! Hahaha. My camp lasted for 3days 2night (4, 5, 6 June). That short period of time was enough to kill me. >,<>
1. The toliet is freaking dirty with pest all over the wall and celling. After you pee, you can't flush. And there's lots of mud on the floor sometimes. Can imagine it? Remember, it smells alot. 2. Since the toliet was like so disgusting, I didn't bathe until the last day. Actually it was only a rinse and that was the day i found out that even the bathing water is from the river. So it's erm brownish. EeK.
3. I brushed my teeth with river water. I didn't find out until the second day. 'Cause I was brushing my teeth in the night as first so I couldn't really make out the colour of the water.
4. The games weren't very fun and exciting. Or perharps I'm too enthu or the other way round.
5. I lost my oar while playing water polo in a boat game and Morgan took the oar thinking that it was his. -_-''' I was screaming at him throughout the game. And that "kinda cute" trainer did not believed me. Damn him. Poor me had to use my hands and paddle myself around.
6. My clothes were all muddy. Actually I don't mind getting all muddy if I know I'll be heading to a nice toliet to get a nice bath. But as you all know, the toliet wasn't very nice.
7. My canoe got stuck on a chopped down tree. Damn. LOL. We couldn't move!!! Ya that kinda sucks.
8. They made us wait and wait. Frankly speaking I can't really blame them about this that much because I myself had planned activities for a large group of people and keeping people waiting is a definate.
9. My class was always the last to eat except for the time when they asked for volunteer to share their views about the camp so far. So our class surely called and cheer for Charan la. So he went up first and we got to eat first! Haha. "Charan we couldn't have done it without you!" The first day's lunch, we were the last to eat and had to wait until 2pm to eat 'cause they underestimated the food supply. -_-''' Not enough food!
10. I kept powder bathing myself 'cause I didn't bathe with water ma. My whole shirt, pants and myself was white when I came out of the tent. I think I was being laughed at. But nevermind...
I guess that was the Top 10 incidents that me make hate the camp. Now let's take a look at those which I find pretty good:
1. We tried many different types of stuff.
Day 1 - We played the Topo map game then we had to read those illustrated maps then go different checkpoint and collect informations. After that we have to gather back and compete with 2A where we had to raise our hands, the first one would get to answer the question.
But for my class, no one actually memorised anything, so by the time we can refer to our notepads, 2A who had memorise most of the info raised up their hands le. But not bad la, my class still score 15 points like that while 1A got like 30 pts?! Then we played team building games. Quite fun la, only that got sickening people in my group. Sickening people like Brain LOO. Even his surname makes me sick. Anyways, I was in Team 1. I can't remember the members but got CHARAN, Shermin, Hui Wen, Yu Hui, Tze Yang, Daryl, Xue Ying, Wan Ting, Xin Pei and myself? Sorry if I left any of your names out. There was 3 teambuilding games. First was those we had to cross a distance, stepping on tyres, then pass the wood plank. We won 2A for this round. Haha. Then it was a game where we had to take everything we had on us and lay it on a slope. The longer our belongings could "climb" the slope, the higher the chances we can win. Our group's belonging intially stretched until 198cm long! However they accused us of cheating 'cause we used a rope which we found on the grass and cut off 10 cm from length. But in the end we still won 2A. Wahaha. Then the last game was like we had to tie a knot. But obviously it wasn't so easy. Hmm. I have no idea how to explain the game to you so I shall cut the crap and skip it. We lost this round to 2A. =( Nightwalk was cancelled due to rain...
Day 2 - We went canoeing early in the morning. It was horrible. So boring. My whole shoe was mudding and I fell into the muddy water. Ok nevermind. I threw that shoe away already. Hehe. I knew such thing would happen so i brough those shoes which I didn't want. Anyways, we did a Kallang wave, standing on the canoe. Alamak. Last year SJAB's canoeing did le. Then we played the water polo on some muddy lake. The lake was super shallow, until knee height nia. In the afternoon, we went trekking. We climbed the Gunung Lambak mountain. Haha. When my class was making our way up, the previous team who are coming down keep telling us that it was turf and all those "good luck" wishes. Hehe. This foreshadowed that it's going to be very very tedous. And I absoulutely 100% agree! I seriously don't have the stamina. Fell a few times. But I say, that mountain climbling was rather fun! Haha. They kept saying that when you reach the submit, you can see a magnifying view. That was crap man. Very nice meh? I don't think so. Hehe. When making our way down, the mountain was super duper steep that we took an hour to get down! Rachel slipped down hard man. Heng I'm there to stop her from sliding down futher. *Christine saves the day!* Haha. Sorry I was being thick skin again. =P We had camp fire in the night and Mr Lim lighted the camp's fire 'cause it was his birhday! We sang a Happy Birthday song to him. *Useless fact of the day, Do you know that Mr Lim is only 42 years old this year?* Then we sang quite a few camp fire song like, "Camp fire's burning now", "You go Ah Woo Ah! You go Si Boom Ba!", "Do whatever I do, Say whatever I say", "Hokie Pokie" and lot's more! Haha. We were given time to prepare a short performance and cheer for our class. Haha. I thought we'll cok up hard but looks like everyone did. Hehe. After camp fire we still had night walk to make up the Night Walk we didn't walk on Day 1. Hehe. The Night walk was very really absolutely no doubtly boring... I mean it's like you can see the trainers around, no one's there to scare you except for this peticular incident where a trainer suddenly talked to us saying something which I dunno what he's mumbling. Then Kash and Rachel started to scream. -_-''' Initially i thought they are going to scare us but dunno why that guy sounded like scolding us. I mean getting scared also a sin ah? Overall it had been a very very very tiring day.
Day 3- FINALLY WE ARE GOING BACK!!! But still we had to play some crossing river game. Strained my arm muscles alot. Haha. Then we had to build a raft. Mr Colin taught us and we were the first to complete making the raft. Both Eric and Joshua went to test out our raft whether it can move and float. Hehe Guinea pigs! Just kidding. Since we were the first team, we can immediately go and bathe! So I dashed in the toliet and no for long, the 2A girls start knocking on the door. Drats. So much for my nice bath. Lunch was up next as per normal. You know something about the food? It wasn't bad. I mean we get soup leh. I love soups! Then it's like you can choose what you want. I always refuse to take the egg and veggies. But the trainers always spat a spoonfull of veggies on my plate. In the end that came as a waste. i loved the supper every night. Pandan cakes. So yummy! I took 2 servings every night. =) Then we had scentry duties. Haha. They called us to send 3 volunteers from each tent without telling what was the purpose. It was actually that all of us would be doing the scentry duty. Haha. We had to get outselves into groups of 25 people. Then they say send 3 group leaders la. Then I represented my group. Hahahaha. We had to oh ya bei ya song. Out of the 3 representative, which ever puts out a different side'll have to clean the toliet! Haha. Heng mine and the other girl put the same. Hehe. Then so lucky, my team gotten the easiest job, picking up litters. So fun! We went to the Boys tent that side then saw many erm unexpected stuff lying around. The trainer called us to pick up whatever we see. So we picked up 2 briefs and 1 towel. Haha. So after this was the de-brief and survey time. YAY! We are heading back to S'pore. I miss you so much. *Muack muack!*
Reached home around 6pm+? Had a real nice bath. Haha. 45mins in the bathroom. Waaaaaa so shiok!
