HAHA. Today's public duty was like nothing man. Nothing in the sense that we don't have any casualty! 0! None! Zlitch! Woa. I could have stayed at home and studied finish my History which I haven't done yet. Sighs.
5.25am: Woke up and clean up myself
6.08am: Picked Sok Ting up from her home
6.10am: Reached CCK MRT Station
6.15am: Changed into my Quarter U because I thought an ambulance would be fetching us to Jurong Green CC. And waited for the rest who hadn't come.
6.50: Still waiting...
6.55: Stop waiting and proceeded to take bus [I can't remember =P].
7.15am: Saw Xin Yan Mdm at one of the stop and alighted. Boarded on bus [I can't remember again!]
7.35am: Reached JGCC and changed into my Full U
7.45am: Shan Zhi sir brief us about the event and blah lala. Had to pair up 1 girl and 1 boy. Whatever it is, I was paired with Shaiful.
8am: Got breakfast and kept our bags in a room.
8.15am: FINALLY we are setting off. Sir Derrick had to drive the ambulance around to all the checkpoints. First he dropped Sze Him and Vincent at the Labador Park followed by Sok Ting and William then Rachel, Yan Hsiang and Chin Boon and then Shaiful and I.
9.45am: Called the checkpoint master (Gindee) and he call us to meet him at the Macs opposite Watson in Toa Payoh Central. We found the guy alright and he called us to take a seat. LOL. Then the funny and weird part came. While Shaiful went to the Gents, a guy (Eric) whom I thought belonged to the same company (Aventura) as Gindee asked me whether I would like to wear Uniform or change into Shirt. So I thought this was a good deal. I mean who would like to wear Full U in such places? So he gave me a shirt - Straits Times Charity. LOL. I was quite baffled at that point but then again it's a nice shirt and it's Free Of Charge! HAHA. Anyways, Shaiful came and he told Eric that we are on Public duty and must always wear our Full U. So Eric with his English accent spoke, "Okay. No prob. But you'll have to go there and join the guys for the briefing.". Then we were like O.K. So another guy brief us. LOL. Then we FINALLY noticed something amiss. They were talking about some door to door knocking thingy and collect funds. Eric later said something like, tell those people this story: Blah blah was a very pitiful and poor boy. He could not afford to buy any food during recess time and can only eat until he reaches home which is around 6pm. He could not even afford to pay for his transport fees and had to walk about 8 bus stops everyday to and back from school. That is when the Straits Times Charity comes in. We give these poor a monthly $30 to at least give them some money for food. Please buy this Post-it pad for $2 and you can help to save the poor.". <-- And that's roughly how the story went. HAHA. My conscienious finally came back when I remembered that we are on a public duty for AMAZING RACE! Not charity! So we stood out of the briefing and discussed. We called Gindee again and Shaiful called him to raise his hands. Okay we got the right guy from the start only that there were 2 different clubs sitting beside each other! Haha. Ok so Gindee called us to take a seat again but Shaiful declined and said that we need to look out for casualty. This was the irony part, there was hardly a casualty! LOL. In fact there was 0 casualty on that day.
10.45am: It started to dizzle and we took a sit under the shelter with Eric and gang. So we just chat chat chat and stone.
1pm: Eric said that the earliest the next group would come will be 2pm. So, Shaiful and I went to have lunch first. We were given $10 per pair for lunch. Initially, we wanted to go to the KouFu in TP Central. But it was so freaking crowded so forget it. Then we walk on further until we came across KFC. Ate Shrooms burger set. Quite nice but felt hungry afterwards.
2pm: Came back from lunch and start to stone at the seats again. LOL. Really there's hardly any casualty and hardly any people and hardly any dangerous stunts. Ok, for my station the "stunt" was to dress up according to a photo given using the cloths provided. Like who would get injured when you "change" clothes? I wanted to rest but I couldn't really close my eyes in peace. Why? Because I haven't prepare myself for the common test tommorrow! Shrugs, And it's HISTORY. If I don't do well, it's history for me and triple science. Shit-chat with Shaiful again (well he's the only company I've got. =/)...
3pm: Nice. We can go now! The last team had arrive and we called Sir Derrick to give us a lift. =D We went to the roadside, near to the Toa Payoh Stadium where the Taewondo students are taking their grading today. So no surpise, saw freaking many taewondo students. It took a long time before the ambulance came. LOL. So Shaiful and I got bored again and I was doing some footdrill in the public. LOL. How embarrassing. Then Shaiful saw this Kendrick guy from Catholic High SJAB. Hmm. Like nice meeting you Kendrick, so you learn taewondo too huh? Black belt? Impressive! Ok I'm nuts. After many phone calls, Sok Ting and I decided to meet up at Toa Payoh MRT so it'll be easily for Sir Derrick to pick us up in the ambulance.
4.30pm: Reached Jurong Green CC! Haha. Had goody bag!!! It was really nice. A bag containing pens, notepads, Newater etc. Guess there's some payback eh?
Okay, I suppose you know what day it is today. For those who doesn't read the title, it's the day when my SJAB seniors "retire". Well, it's a sad day actually. Okay. First up was our BNCO outing. Many people didn't turn out so there was a change in plan. Instead of 1 *PEER LEADER leading 2 groups, each PEER LEADER would lead just 1 group. So ya we had different checkpoints and there would be some short games in each checkpoint you'll have to complete if not you won't get a clue to your next checkpoint. (The clue comes in the form of photos of that area).
*PEER LEADER refers to the BNCO cadets who know where are the checkpoints and would be bringing the groups around and guide them if they are way too lost)
I was leading Group 2: Jing Ying, Jerilyn, Shaiful, May, Sameli and Aisyah. Our first checkpoint was at the CCK Park. WAHAHAS. So glad 'cause it was probably the most fun checkpoint. The game was Number Bomb (Zhong Ji Me ma). So basically if you guessed the number on the tag, you have to do a forfeit! There were 2 great forfeits. First was a spinning whell I call. You'll have to stand on it and when we push it, it'll spin you around. The person standing on it would feel a tremedous spin however when you see it from the side, it's spinning really slowly. The second forfeit was to bring you whole team around a distance. How? Well, there's this thingy in the playground where everyone can stand on and there's a machine which you have to rotate it to bring the people across. Don't get what I'm trying to bring across? Nevermind, go to CCK Park and try it yourselves! So we headed for Yew Tee park next and played the Hankerchief game. Everyone would be sitting in a circle and there would be 1 catcher holding a ball of paper (suppose to be hankerchief). When the catcher drops the paper ball behind you, you have to pick it up immediately and run after the catcher before it returns to your seat. Haha. Okay. We returned to school for lunch after that. Bad news. it started to rain during lunch time. And our backup plan was to bring ponchos. However, we didn't inform them to write on the notice board! Shrugs. It was impossible for us to continue playing the Amazing Race. So we ended up playing Chariets, murderer and Peace Like a River. Haiz. We had to inform all those Checkpoint masters to quickly come back to school so we can start our performance. There was some promotion ceremony and souvenirs given to the Sec 4s and 5s. Congrats to those who had gotten the Staff Rank. We had this small Karaoke session and it's time for BBQ!
BBQ was at Jingying's place (North vale) and it's the second time we are there for SJAB BBQ! I have to admit that last year's BBQ was better. This year's food was great but something seems missing. But anyways, hopefully the tons of photos turns out good for me. HAHA. Went home around 10pm by Wei Ting's car. My parents' were out for another BBQ. HAHA. Ok guess what? When I reached home and turn on the first light, it went off and my whole house blacked out. DRATS. I immediately called my parents using my HP and used it to find my way around too. Parents came back half n house later. Whew whew. I was sleeping in the couch drenched in sweat already...
Well today school "realeased" at 12.55pm then I had a quick short break for lunch. Then we (all sec 2 express) headed for Singapore Poly.
Well I can tell you that SP is BIG man. It's the size of 108 soccer fields! Haha. There were 4 schoold attending this Career Guidence. We were the 1st sch to arrived! Woo hoo! 3 cheers gor Kranji, hip hip hurray! Haha. I'm nuts. The good thing about getting there first was that we could book the "patron" seats, which are the middle portion of the Auditorium. No doubt that the place was BIG but I'm not very interested. =P Upon waiting for the arrival of other schools, Rachel started to tease Sean who was sitting infront of Kash and I. Okay, no offence but Sean was known as "Pig". Hehe. Somehow I dunno what happened, Rachel started to call Sean "The School Hunk!". LOL. But actually there was a meaning behind it. KSS Hunk - William Hung. Get the joke? So yahs. Soon, all the schools arrived and they showed us a video about the courses availiable in SP. LOL. It was obvious that there are trying to advertise their school. Then we got some talk about pursuing yr VIA - Values; Interest; Ability. Lastly it was the tresure hunt. I guess that's boring. Just walk around the BIG school... Then this program ended off with a prize giving ceremony. My team didn't win, but I was screaming away whenever Kranji won anything. Hehe. We gotten quite a number of prizes and we were praised. =) Just like an angel...
Sighs. My post was being erased due to some error. Drats. Now I have to type everything again.
Today's SJAB training was b-o-r-i-n-g. Boring in the sense that I had to learn the same command over and over again when I already know it. AHHHHHHH! I'm so going nuts today. I mean we are trained to teach today. And it's like we (Sec 2s n 3s) are being split into 2 groups. Ok I gotten the more boring group but who cares, the lesson is still going to be boring. HMPH. So everyone and every single one had to go to the front and teach the same command which is taking dressing to your right. I'm soooooooooo going crazy when Sir Kenneth came in and make things difficult for us. Don't test my patience dude, don't try... After that we proceeded to MTL room 2 for theory lesson. It was easy I suppose, filling up Brigade Form. In case you guys have no idea what is that, it's something like a form which you fill in the blanks with your particulars etc. I went to try it and gotten a packet of Yupi gummy. LOL. Childish isn't it? We had 5 mins of break after this and it was time for a meeting which Sir Kenneth. He wanted to make sure that we are on track and ready for the outing this coming Saturday. Really hope everything goes well for us...
Yesterday was much funner. LOL. I know there's no such word but I guess you get the idea. I went to watch War of The World with Yan Hsiang, Beatrice and Wei Ting over at Jurong Point. LOL. I was late as usual and we are suppose to meet Yan Hsiang at JP at 4pm! We only reached there at 4.15pm. So Beatrice, Wei Ting and I couldn't find Yan Hsiang and panicked. I went up to the theatre to queue up for tickets while BT and WT look for YH. LOL. Around 4.20pm when the movie is starting, YH came! Ok great. Now we can go and watch. We were late by the time we buy our ticks and popcorns. But still, the advertisements were buying lots of time. Really, we were like late for 10mins for the movie and the advertisements haven't end. But nevertheless, the movie was a great pay off. It was so freaking eerie. I didn't thought it was a horror movie. I thought it's just some aillen invasion or war or something non sci fiction. LOL. Infact I don't really know much about the movie! Four of us were sitting right below the speaker and I tell you the sound effect can bring us to tears. LOL. The show was long and promising. =D Reached home near 8pm...
Haha. Today had to run 3.2km for PE. It's good I suppose since I really need to boost my stamina. Well, after that I had to set up the booth for our service learning. We are going to sell cookies and some other stuff today during recess! How exciting is that? Haha. Actually it turned out really boring. The cookies were way underestimated and it went OUT OF STOCK really fast. The guys' were way better than ours, they brought alot of Longan cans and I even bought 2 cups from them! Sooooooooooo nice! I'm so goanna buy it again tomorrow. Haha. It's also my understudy, Haiqel's birthday. So I reserved 3 packet of cookies, 1 "bundle' of jelly and 1 cup of longan as his birthday present! Haha. How sweet I can I get man! Hehe. I'm being thick skin again, sorry. After school I had Science Physic IP coaching. I dreaded it at first, guess it wasn't so bad actually. Since Kash, Devi and Racheal accompanied me through it. Also, I found out that Joshua was nominated to be a prefect! Haha. I am happy for him, but the guys in my class keep pouring cold water on him. Shame on them.
Damn. Life's bad today. I know you are happy to hear that but bully for you, I'm still alive to type all these.
Firstly, Folkdance lesson was horrible. Along with 15 classmates and I were sent to the general office to see Mr Ong by Ms Wee. Imagine. KSS Prefect sent to the office. No face ah! Okay. Luckily Mr Ong didn't scold us. Just 1/2 hour of lecture for the girls and 1 hour of lecture for the guys. Fine. We missed like half of assembly already. I suppose that's good?
Ok secondly, I went to cut my hair for 6 bucks and it ended up like no difference. I mean my hair did shorten alot but no change in style! It's so bor-ing.
Finally and I hope it's the end of my misery, my handphone broke. DAMN DAMN DAMN. I'm so gonna get BF. Which is bitch fits for short. LOL. I mean it just dropped! And die! Just like that! RAH!
Fine. You wanna take away my handphone, my computer, my pride, my everything? Happy taking, you fun sucker! HAHA.
Haha. Watched Initial D earlier this afternoon with Kash and her Sis. I was like finally got time to watch man. Haha. Don't get me wrong. I'm not too busy studying, I'm too busy with SJAB stuff to study. Damn. Anyways, Initial D was definately a pay off! It was way too cool! Haha. I don't pay 7 bucks for nothing ya know. But it could be much better if the lead actor was Edison, not Jay. =P No offence though. Shawn Yue from the movie kinda reminds me of Kevin from Backsteet Boys, so I liked him too. =D
BUT it haven't been a good week for me. Got terrible mood swing. So to everyone whom I've erm pissed off or irritated, I'm SO SORRY.
Woa. I can't believe this and neither would you. I had 15 hours of sleep! Haha. I dropped dead once I reached home, after my bath of course, and slept all the way from 5pm to 8am this morning! Haha. Well, I guess all this energy draining stuff I did earlier on was all worth it.
[SJAB Day - 7/1/05]
Woke up at 5.25am? Got to get ready for SJAB day. I didn't had time to put on my badges when I got to school. Drats. This year are are combining with NCC day. Damn man. I wasn't a bit happy with the arrangement. I mean it's all going to be NCC who's commanding us. Yuk yuk. It went O.K actually. No biggie. We wore Full U for the whole school day and after the parade, we took photos as usual. I think it's going to turn out ugly for me, again. *Sighs* Went back for class for lesson. Oh ya did I mention I've got a understudy now!!! Haha. His name is Haiquel, a really cute and small malay boy. So now every morning assembly and recess he's going to follow me. One bad thing, being my understudy mean no recess everyday. But he doesn't complains! Haha. Hope he'll be a better prefect than me. =D
After school, we had Old Items Collection thingy for CIP points. I was rather reluctant to go at first. I mean I had to rush to my Mdm's place later the evening to prepare for the following day's SJAB 70th Year Anniversary Carnival stuff. I was assigned to go to Blk 545 to collect the old items. I was teamed with Wai Lam, Kash, Rachel and Devi. Wai Lam and Rach did most of the talking while the rest of us were the "muscle ladies". Haha. Gotten quite alot of things. Then Devi and I started going in pairs. We went to this particular storey, the 4th storey. #04-02 I think. There was this very kind lady who kept so freaking many bottles. I tell you, it's ALOT. We needed 4 people's help man. She was very kind and sportenous towards us and gave out alot of things that she could. Can tell she was rich man. Haha. Peeked in her house and saw a large screen TV, and she wore a red Hard Rock Cafe shirt. THANK YOU VERY MUCH KIND LADY! Haha. Guess the day turned out very fun man. I liked this kind of CIP man. We left for home very much earlier than we expected it to be. But still, by the time I reached home, I only had 45mins to rest and bathe. I was suppose to meet Wei Ting and Sok Ting at the Yew Tee MRT at 5.45pm but I was late as usual. But nevermind, cause I realised that we forgot to take the materials in school! AHhhhhhhh! That was nightmare man. So I called Ms Tan if she could help us open the SJAB room. We went in the school in our home clothes. Sok Ting and Wei Ting were really shy man. LOL. Then we dashed up the room, hoping not to let anyone see us. Too bad on our way down, Mr Heng, both WT and ST's maths teacher, saw them. Haha. We went to Limband Macs to buy our lunch and took Rachel's lorry. We gotten a last min message from Chen Yie Mdm that there would be a prize for the best decorated stall design. So we dropped at Lot1 and went to buy more materials. After which we took Bus 300 and reached Chen Yie mdm's house. Poor Sze Him she had been waiting at the same bus stop for like and hour or 2? LOL. We are really sorry!!! So we some of us were busy preparing the food, while the rest of us designed the decorations. We worked till 11pm and had to go home and make ice blocks...
[SJAB 70th Year Anniversary Carnival. 7/2/05]
Woke up awfully early again and my body ached. Took MRT all the way to Lavander then walked to HQ. Had to prepare the stalls earlier. So we hanged all the Menu board etc, and I say it looked great! =D Hmm. The business was damn good! LOL. I had to say the truth but the orange juice was really bitter and sour. Still, many people were paying it 1 at $1.50. Hehe. Maybe it's our luck or something, the business was picking up as the time goes by. By 10.30am, we only left with 5% of the things we had!!! Oh my. Luckily, Sir Derrick and Dicky went to Suntec for re-stocking. HAHAHA. They bought like 10 watermelons? ALOT of ice, plastic bags, straws and syrup etc. I was in-charged of tending the stall. And I liked serving people. =D Really v fun. I mean those people there weren't rude or anything. It was really cool to see the change of the faces when my customers took the 1st sip in the orange juice. LOL. They were like >.< HAHA. I'm so sorry, but the orange juice just didn't turn out like what we wanted. The fruit tarts, cake and jelly were sold out really fast. But my favourite was the chocolate Fondue. I tell you, it's really nice. YUM YUM YUM. I brought two boxes of Banana Chocolate Fondue for only $1.50! Haha. Wonder if I can have them again... Later the afternoon, around lunch time, I guess all the drinks stall ran out of water! My my. We were so desperate, we started selling plain water plus ice for $1! We named it Ice Spring Water. The stall was so freaking crowded. Haha. I could remember 2 of our "best" customers. No1: Zhen Shun fr GESS. He tried to cut Queue. My my. But nevermind, give you face let you cut straight in. Since you ordered 10 pkts of orange juice. =D Haha. No.2: Teo Siew Huai fr GESS. She brought all the remaining fruits we had! Hahah. Then we even delivered a free Jackfruit for her. How sweet. Hahaha. Thanks for buying! =D
Around 2pm? After we got rid of all out coupons, we headed for Bugis. Sok Ting and I hardly left any energy to walk. My my. I hit straight for the bed after I bathe. I was really shack.
